us some analytics on how people move around cities and how vehicles drive around cities. so, currently we have 16 neighborhoods -- 18 neighborhoods covered in san francisco, and we get real-time data back that shows exactly how many people go by some of the busiest areas in san francisco. so, you can see here san francisco, on average total, i think we had 150 people cross our sensors on average for every sensor. in case you want to go into time density. so, we end up getting these really, really great visualizations of the busiest times and the least busiest times of people moving around san francisco. you want to go down into union square? you can see the data changes dramatically when we change the neighborhood. and just illustrates how different every neighborhood in san francisco really is. we're announcing today that we're providing some of this data to the city as a kind of public service to help the citizens here figure out how many people walk around their neighborhood. but mostly it's to help public service, like the fire department, the police department, the m

and these registrations don't even include registration in our all city basketball league, which had added participants in our programs and also added revenues so i couldn't be more proud of our staff. last thursday, we were out at harding to mark the beginning of a recycle project, the harding park delivers water to irrigate 175 acres at the golf course. we are one of the city's largest irrigates, we are excited about the project and want to thank the puc in their partnership. this past monday, i joined commissioner buell, the new promenade extends 880 feet into the heart of fisherman's wharf, the historic pier and alcatraz and it's perfect for watching the america's cup in 2013. it involved stabilizing the sea wall and some of the import infrastructure below the promenade, it was funded the 2008 clean and neighborhood parks bond, there are some additional dollars that tha* the port is lining to be allocated to continue that along the historic arch, it's a great site and i encourage everybody to visit it. i want to give you a quick update on the pool building, you've read a couple o

i actually really believe that we need to move forward quickly as a city. i want to make sure we're successful in the program. while we don't have all the details of the early notification and education plan there, the framework is clear and i think it's a good starting point to move forward for the city and i believe that while we have had comments about talking about caution i think they're well meaning how to have a successful program but i think the success of the program is that we roll out quickly with the notification and the education plan. that's going to be most meaningful. i also want to make sure that we're really clear that the effort is really working in the deep green areas first and foremost where we know a particular target audience is for the message and we know how to craft that message for them as well. i think that is going to be significant. we're not reaching out to every population in san francisco from the get go but the deep green area is where we need to focus the efforts on. this plan incorporates that and i believe it's the righ
